CLASP and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) have signed a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the shared objective of supporting EESL’s ambitious 10 million Energy-Efficient Fans programme, which plays a vital role in India’s path to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions.
During the CEM14 event, which brings together energy ministers, policymakers, business leaders, and experts from across the globe to collaborate on energy efficiency initiatives, Vishal Kapoor, CEO of EESL, unveiled the groundbreaking 10 million Energy-Efficient Fan programme. This programme aims to revolutionise the market for energy-efficient ceiling fans in India, potentially saving a substantial 15% of residential power consumption annually by enhancing the efficiency of residential ceiling fans.
As part of the partnership, CLASP will lend support to the ceiling fans market transformation programme by providing technical assistance and capacity building to EESL in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) processes.
