Trot Solutions gears up to develop self-sustainable ports in India

Trot Solutions, a UAE-based company specialising in comprehensive infrastructure solutions for ports, shipping, and logistics, has signed an MOU with C4V, a US-based company, to collaborate on developing green, self-sustainable ports in India.

This partnership aims to foster innovation and conduct research and development on high-end technologies related to green energy and sustainable ports, ushering in a new era for India’s maritime sector. The MOU commits both parties to support power generation from renewables and batteries for all port equipment, including electrification of small vessels. The roadmap also outlines the transformation of existing ports into green, self-sustainable ports by 2030.

Under the MOU, C4V and Trot Solutions will work together to establish a robust supply chain through their Gigafactories and implement innovative and sustainable energy storage solutions for ports across India. The collaboration will focus on integrating C4V’s advanced battery technologies into Trot Solutions’ port infrastructure, promoting efficient energy management, reduced emissions, and enhanced environmental sustainability. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways’ vision of transforming Indian ports into eco-friendly and energy-efficient hubs.

C4V develops and deploys cutting-edge technologies and Gigafactories to address the world’s energy storage challenges. C4V is working on several large projects in the BESS, e-mobility and others by setting up a cell manufacturing Gigafactory in India based on C4V technology.

Speaking on this occasion, Managing Director Mr. Rizwan Ali of Trot Solutions expressed “We are delighted to collaborate with C4V to drive green energy adoption in our ports and contribute to the sustainable development of our maritime sector. This partnership will reduce the burden over grid and will enable the power in rural areas and will create job opportunities for India. This partnership between C4V and Trot Solutions is set to revolutionise the maritime industry in India, addressing the growing concerns of climate change and environmental degradation.

Mr. Kuldeep Gupta, President (Strategic Partnership) at C4V, shared: “India is a key market for C4V enjoying a coastline of 7500KM where many of Seaports still need to be developed and more power will be required which could be delivered via Green Energy+ Energy Storage solutions.”

He further said “C4V is the only company in India which is setting up a Gigafactory based on its own technology and the only company globally which enables cell manufacturing from Molecule to Grid. C4V has successfully deployed its technology in Energy Storage, E-mobility and is now excited to help develop Green & self-sustainable ports in India with Trot Solutions. Our advanced battery solutions will enable ports to reduce their carbon footprint and play an important role in achieving the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister of Green India by 2030.”
