ZTE achieves China’s first carbon-neutral international air freight practise

ZTE Corporation, a renowned provider of information and communication technology solutions worldwide, has reached a significant milestone by obtaining the ‘Verification Statement of Achievement of Carbon Neutrality‘ from SGS. This achievement represents the successful implementation of China’s first international air freight end-to-end carbon neutrality initiative. It showcases ZTE’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility within the realm of logistics.

In collaboration with Sinotrans and Lufthansa Cargo, ZTE has pioneered the development of an integrated carbon neutralisation solution, marking a remarkable achievement in the international logistics ecological chain. This initiative ensures that the accurate calculation, verification, and certification of the carbon footprint are carried out throughout the entire transportation journey, from origin to destination. By taking a proactive approach to carbon neutrality in logistics, ZTE is demonstrating its dedication to reducing emissions and advancing green practises within the industry.

ZTE’s pioneering concept of achieving carbon neutrality throughout the entire process of international logistics sets a precedent for other high-tech manufacturing enterprises. The successful execution of this initiative not only highlights ZTE’s leadership but also contributes to the accumulation of valuable experience in green logistics development.

With this achievement, ZTE has officially become a part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) mechanism. This recognition further solidifies ZTE’s commitment to reducing emissions and aligning its sustainability efforts with global standards. By being actively engaged in reducing its carbon footprint and achieving carbon neutrality, ZTE contributes to the broader global sustainability agenda and supports the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
